How to set-up, use and differentiate visibility and accessibility.

Updated over a week ago

This article explains how to use the settings for visibility and accessibility for different tabs/timeslots.

STEP 1 - Go to MANAGE EVENT > SESSIONS. Navigate to the parent/sub tab you would like to apply the settings to and click on the configuration wheel.

STEP 2 - You can then see two types of options - Visibility and Accessibility that you can use.

Definitions:

Visibility - You can hide/show the entire tab including the sessions under them for people with certain tags.

Eg:- Only visible for attendees with all of these tags VIP

Result: Only attendees with the tag VIP can see the tab and the sessions in it.

Accessibility - The tab/sessions can be view the sessions but cannot take a seat or sig up for it.

Eg:- Only accessible for attendees with all of these tags VIP

Result: All the attendees can see the tab and the sessions it contains but they cannot join the session or attend it unless they have the tag VIP.

For those who do not have the tag VIP as per the example will get this pop up when they try to join the session as they do not have access.

The above settings can be used in scenarios where you would like all attendees to see the full program but would also like to give different attendees different levels of access to sessions without needing to hide the sessions for different attendees completely.

*Tip: Can also be used for upselling certain sessions i.e. Charge extra for access.
